地元信州の焼杉、浅間石、鉄平石など地域材の活用と地元職人による「地産地消の家」。

古代道路である東山道の近く、古い民家や寺も残る里山に新築した住宅である。
生産場所や材料、造り手が分かる、地元の信州杉や浅間石・鉄平石などを利用し、地域の職人技術により永く残るシンプルで強い建物とした。しっかりとした軒で外壁や開口部を守り、冬の日射を取り入れる窓と夏の陽射しを遮る庇を設えている。また、浅間山と樹木が綺麗に見える眺望を確保している。年間の冷暖房費を抑え快適な温度環境を得るため高性能断熱材を用い断熱性能を高めた。

性能だけでなく住み方や作り方も「心地のよい家」を目指した所、自然と「サスティナブル」になっていたように思える。工業製品に慣れている我々設計者や施工者であるが、地域材や地元技術による「地産地消の家」の建設が可能であり、「サスティナブルである事」は「心地のよい事」でもあると再確認する事ができた。

This residence is built by local artisans using materials Shinshu cedar, Asama stone, and Shinsyu Teppei stone. It's located in a Satoyama area with old traditional houses and temples. The house has sturdy eaves, windows that let in winter sunlight and shades that block summer heat. It offers a beautiful view of Mt. Asama and the surrounding trees. High-performance insulation materials were used to reduce energy costs and maintain a comfortable temperature.

The focus was not only on performance but also on creating a comfortable living space. As designers and builders familiar with industrial products, we've realized that constructing a 'locally produced and consumed home' using local materials and techniques is both sustainable and comfortable.
